In July 2012, Kristofer Bergh,  from the research project Arctic Futures: Managing Competition and Promoting Cooperation, published the SIPRI Insights on Peace and Security no. 2012/1,”The Arctic policies of Canada and the United States: domestic motives and international context”.

The paper was a well received, peer reviewed paper exploring the international Arctic policies and politics of Canada and the USA, including the implications of their relationship with each other.

As a spin-off of the Bergh paper, French magazine ”Diplomatie” published a four page extract of the paper entitled ”Les politiques arctiques du Canada et des États-Unis: facteurs internes et contexte international” in their August-September issue.
